A Big Fat Thank You

December 30th, 2007

In order to get you these stories updated on the website on a daily basis, we Sugary Serials creators have to work well in advance of the release dates of the books. As we close out the first three issues of the series, I would like to take my hat off to Chet Lucero, Mark Rudolph, Sally Scott, and Sara Turner. All of these people worked their fingers to the bone way back in the summer of 2007 to get these stories completed in time for the site’s launch in October. These folks worked hard months ago to create (or to help create) the stories you just finished reading, which means there was a long stretch of time where they had to just sit on the work.

Now, in terms of most publishing, that’s not a long time to wait. But for people used to the immediate gratification of web publishing, that’s darned near an eternity. So I must thank everyone who was involved with the content in issues 1-3. You guys did a spectacular job (and with no complaining, even!), and for that I am forever grateful.

If you’ve enjoyed Curse of the Pharaohs, Dreamform Defenders, and Equalizers of the Divide, please don’t hesitate to let the creators know. You can leave a note in the forums, or you can hit the creators page and contact them directly. Either way, feedback of any kind is always appreciated.

Another big thank you must go to Barry and the crew of Ka-Blam. They’re the print component of this anthology, and they’re so good about making sure that the print books are available for sale at the end of every month.

That’s another great way to show your support–why not check out the books available in the Sugary Serials store? 100% of the proceeds (after print costs) goes to the artists.

Last, but not least, thank you for reading the comics, and thanks to those of you who have either posted in our forums or emailed us directly to let us know that you liked them. Thanks also to those of you who told a friend, posted a link, or in general helped to spread the word. We deeply appreciate it.

So we close the year with the conclusion to our first three stories. The new year begins with three new ones–can’t wait to hear what you think of them!
