25th Anniversary Optimus Prime to be released

May 22nd, 2008

For those of you who missed out on the Transformers Commemorative Series I Optimus Prime that came out back in 2002, you’ve got another chance to own the original toy this year. If you check out Transformers Toy News Reviews, you can see pictures of the upcoming 25th Anniversary Optimus Prime. It appears that he comes with a DVD–I’m guessing it’s probably the first "More Than Meets The Eye" mini-series. Let me know if any of you find out what it is for sure.

What precisely is the big Autobot symbol for?

  2. Jerzy Drozd Says:

Looks like it has some sound capabilities. I’m guessing it plays the original TF theme, or maybe has a few choice expressions from Optimus, like “Transform and roll out” or something like that. The 25th Anniversary Joe 5-packs came with a thing like that.

All I know is it’s a chance to own an original Prime, and that’s enough for me.

I think I had one of those truck, growing up. We lost the trailer a long time ago, but we still have the truck itself, somewhere. MY brothers and I thought it was the coolest toy we had, despite the fact that we didn’t know what Transformers were.
