G.I. Joe figure sets with cartoon-accurate accessories!
May 23rd, 2008This is something I’ve been waiting to see for a long time. As the G.I. Joe 25th Anniversary line has been coming out, there have been many exciting releases, like the Cobra Commander in Battle Armor that I posted about a while back. But it was beyond my wildest hope that we’d get anything that so closely captured the magic of the cartoon. Click the image for the full story.
It’s rare to get any Joe toys that are so heavily influenced by the cartoon. Even the paint schemes on these figures are designed to accurately reflect the look of the cartoon models. But most exciting of all, these sets come with actual props from the Real American Hero and Revenge of Cobra mini-series. They even come with DVDs of the respective mini-series, so you can not only relive childhood memories, you can share them with young ones in your own life.
The sets come out in June! I know I’ll be looking for them. My inner 8-year-old is freaking out.

I don’t know–she looks show-accurate to me. I’ll have to watch “Revenge of Cobra” again to see if Hasbro took things too far.
