Sugary Serials Update!
October 24th, 2008This month marks the end of the first “Season” of Sugary Serials. After #13 we’ll be taking a few months off from daily updates as we prepare for the next round of stories for the anthology. My deepest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to the first year of the anthology. I encourage you to check out our creators page to read more of the comics made by the incredibly talented folks who contributed to the series. If you liked what you’ve read here, I’m confident that you’ll be thrilled by what you find on their sites.
However, just because the comics won’t be updating every day doesn’t mean that we won’t be updating at all. While we gear up for “Season 2″, I’ll be posting some new preview pages, more Supercast interviews with the creators, and I’ll be catching up with releasing the print editions for issues 9 and on. I’m also working on collecting the entire first year into a massive 300+ page trade paperback. Stay tuned for more on those fronts.
On the topic of closing the first year out, I should point out that the final story, The Cosmic Adventures of Gena Kranz, will be updating not quite every day. This is totally my fault–other comics and teaching obligations have stretched me a bit thin lately, and I’m doing all I can to catch up. A huge thanks to Mark Rudolph for chipping in to complete the comic.
Finally, a big thank you to everyone who has read the series, purchased print editions, and emailed us to share their enthusiasm for the concept and content. Everyone who has participated in this project has worked very hard to make it as good as it is, and it helps keep us going to know that you’re being entertained by it.
